Originally built in the 1950s with an addition in the 1970s, the Fort Hays Memorial Union was in need of a renovation. This remodeled design reflects a shift to modern amenities and its establishment as a hub for student life at the university.
The existing 100,000 square foot building includes renovated dining areas, food court, health clinic, Student Government offices, and a Student University Club for lounging, studying and special events. The space features a new electrical distribution system and an upgrade of the HVAC primary and distribution systems.
